Inserts as boosters

I am trying a switch from pockets to fitteds and AIOs. I have a bunch of random hemp inserts and doublers from my pocket days for my super soaker. I was thinking about turning all those inserts into lay-in soaker or doublers for my new diapers. Does that work? Would I have to sew a layer of fleece on top of them to wick away the pee from her skin? Would it be better to just sell them and get actual soakers? TIA!

I would. You could even skip the fleece. Hemp against DS's skin never bothered him. If you do want fleece, get some good stuff that will stay soft.

Re: Inserts as boosters

I often use our hemp doublers as an insert or in my AIOs when I need a little more umph. DS doesn't mind it against his skin, but hemp is slow to absorb so I find it works better if something else is there to catch the pee initially. I often fold a microfiber towel around a hemp doubler and use that as a pocket insert. Works great.
