Re: morning sickness "cure"

I love ginger. I also buy the pickled ginger and fresh that I slice and pour hot water over to make a 'tea'. Really anything with ginger helped when I was pg with DD. This time around I haven't had to rely on to many of my tricks, but they're ready to go if needed.

Vit B6 will work for pregnancy nausia. Also, just eating crackers helps, too (boring, I know). I have found myself eating like crazy with this pregnancy. I really really hope I don't gain a ton of weight, but I feel much better when I eat....LOL!

OKay you guys...the protein thing really works. I made myself CHOKE down an egg mcmuffin this morning. It literally took me 30 minutes to eat the thing and I still couldn't finish it, but....I feel great now. Well I'll edit...I don't feel awesome, but I'm sitting here eating lunch without gagging. I may have had to gag through the egg biscuit, but it has been worth it for the rest of the day!

Re: morning sickness "cure"

I've found a "cure" in candy too. Especially lifesavers and lemon drops

I find that if I can get some protein in it helps a lot longer (meat not an option...the smell is uggh...sometimes I can manage eggs). So I have been eating nuts like crazy. I like honey roasted peanuts or cinnamon candied almonds, or just Peanut M&M's. Sprouted beans work for me too.

Re: morning sickness "cure"

so far the only thing I've found that lasts more then 10 minutes is mac n cheese, weird. ugh...and then DD has a BM...how is it that my baby is a trigger? poor kid. I read somewhere you were supposed to stay away from acidic foods, I guess everyone's different. a sip of lemon juice helps me sometimes. as for ginger candies, the effect only lasts as long as the candy. maybe I'll try lemon drops too.

the best cure, stay away from trigger smells! I had to switch DD's shampoo because it makes me gag. now if only I can find someone to change her diapers, lol.

second the B6 vitamins. I also swear by lemon drop candy. NOT the sugar free kind or the chewy kind. My dad recommended them when I was pg with ds1 and I thought, what the heck does he know?? well, the man has 5 kids so I guess he paid attention during all those bouts with m/s.

Mine was always a bowl of cereal...its the sugar that gives you what you need to get rid of that yucky feeling...
