I don't think I would like someone exactly like me.

The legs, and she's not a chunk. The whole thing was just out of proportion for her. So I guess, she's out of proportion.
You didn't get my hopes up with the bump. Seriously.

Jenn-I love your list...especially the last part. It's reality.

Megan--I do make my own baby food...a lot of the time. Not all of the time. I just went to the store last night and came home with 12 jars of food to keep the other 25 jars company in the cabinet. I have come to the reality if my child solely relied on me to cook her something different (A.K.A. appropriate) than what I'm cooking for DH, she would starve on some many days.
So, jarred foods it is at least a few days a week. The only thing I'm adamant about is jarred meats because they gross me out to look at and smell. That's it. I'm not the greatest or most creative cook, so thank goodness there are companies who do the baby food cooking for us mamas who aren't as creative in the kitchen.

Jenn - Yes, that is why I normally just keep my mouth shut on this topic. I could never even utter the word "babywise".

Sara - ITA with what you said about sleep and routine, totally.

The boys sleep 8-8. LJ still takes a 2-2 1/2 hr nap and BOB takes 2, 1 1/2 -2 hr. naps. I am a better mom because of our sleep.

Di - so do you just blend what you cook the night before and put it in a jar? Now I am curious. Although Subway blended doesn't sound that appealing.

Hmmm. my laundry list:

full time Cding, BF (weaned at 6 months due to supply issue), FF (after BF), on-time vax, circing, hospital birthing, NOT co-sleeping, CIO, strictly scheduled, baby food making, sometimes jarred/processed food feeding, tv junkie, internet surfing, sometime baby-wearing, SAHM who wishes for a PT job sometimes but loves her baby-man more than anything in the world and would not change a thing!!!

Ok, I, for one am done with all my non-crunchy/non AP ways. I don't want to tick anyone off.
As many of you already said, I am a firm believer in what works for one person/family/etc may not work for another for various reasons. Obviously we are all fabulous mamas who give our children the most important thing: love and a safe place to live.

Ok, I'm done.

Megan--back to talking about AI. Fill me in.

Sara - Except the food making, yours fits me better than the one I typed for myself.

Wait Di - Before you get off the subject, can you tell more about the baby food making.

Me, too. Wouldn't change a thing, either, though.
Oh, and speaking of pt jobs...I meant to tell you before that DH's niece works for the restaurant that you worked for. She's in South FL.

I am chiming in here to say that i made X's baby food, and i would steam or bake fruits/veg/meat and blend and store in an ice cube tray. i would pop out a cube and warm it up to eat it. Now X is not into purees so i just cut up fruit, veg, tofu, cheese, meat, whatever i am eating, etc. I think it's easier than jarred, but i am totally
