Old BG sized AIO's

I have a few of these I got off FSOT, wondering if any mamas who used in the past had to add a doubler with them? i.e did the absorbency outlast the weight range 9-15lbs? If so, what kind of doubler? Or did you just move onto the mediums?

Re: Old BG sized AIO's

I never had to use a doubler with mine (I didn't use them at night, though). I only had the small size and I moved to BG pockets when he outgrew the AIO.

We outgrew the absorbency of the smalls and the mediums. We never used a doubler since that defeats the point of an AIO. We ended up switching to simplex AIOs when I got fed up enough. BG sized AIOs were my first love though and probably the reason I was successful with cloth diapering. Good luck!

I used them at night with a doubler with DS2 and they lasted all night with no leaks.

We use them and is all we have in our stash.

For naps I add a pad folded flat laid on top of the diaper.

Re: Old BG sized AIO's

With the smalls, my kids went through a heavier peeing stage around 3 months (I think they were just drinking more by that point and pooping a little less often). They fit in the smalls better, but they would be soaked, but could also fit into the mediums, which were more absorbent. After the peeing tapered off a little, I could use both smalls and mediums.
Those aio's were awesome, I wish they still made them!

So here's my happy post--I'm cleaning out all the baby stuff we've had in storage since we're done having babies, and I found three small BG AIOs I used with DS2! Yay! Nighttime diapers for DD!

Re: Old BG sized AIO's

I used grovia doublers in smalls, my dd knew how to pee! she eventually outgrew the absorbancy of those even though she still fit them but they lasted till about 5 months I think. I really thought about buy mediums as I loved them so much but I have a full stash of diapers otherwise. I only bought the smalls because I was having leaking issues at 1 month old and didn't like the one-size on dd yet.

Re: Old BG sized AIO's

thank you for all the comments mama's! Reason I asked was because I added doublers to the xs's to make them last longer, I know they are notorious for not lasting absorbency wise. The smalls fit her great right now at 4 months, absorbency ok so far during the day. I have 4 of them, and notice one is looser in the leg elastics, is there a way to correct it with the refresher kit? I've done it on 4.0's, but those are open to pull out the old elastic, in the AIO, it's completely sealed, so expecting to open it up?
