Best ways to get rid of yeast in diapers? I have seen a variety of methods but really want a tried and true mama used method. We have a decent size stash of prefolds and pockets to treat. Currently on a 2 week vacation and using disposables to make sure we are rid of yeast etc.

Re: Yeast?

Bleach and hot water. Actually just hot water will do the trick but it needs to 140 degrees + for a length of timr, kill time. Don't know how long that is though. My water was 180 degrees when I used detergent and hot water to wash. I temper my washer water after it was filled to know for sure. So I kept it at or above temp probably 30 minutes. Despite my chronic Yeats infections my son never aquired an infection. I washed family cloth and mama cloth with the diapers.

Re: Yeast?

i've done the non-bleach method but really clorox bleach is easier, cheaper and less wear on diapers than the other method - plus you don't have to wonder if its really working.

Good Luck!
