Re: Getting past the poo

I suspect you're having issues because you're pregnant. I couldn't handle cloth diapering when pregnant. As soon as the baby was born, it was just fine diapering two.

The sprayer is a life saver. It makes things so much easier.

I don't have any problem with the front loader. I'm just wondering how it's going to do. Worried about it stinking.

My daughter refuses to drink anything other than breast milk. I've weaned her since I'm expecting and don't want to pump any more at work. She just drinks apple juice and water. I give her yogurt and cheese for calcium. Her poo is soft but not funny and she's not irritated so I'm on with that.

Ohmygosh me too. I gagged so many times at my son's diapers while pregnant! I think I took a couple short breaks from cloth because of that. Ugh.

Re: Getting past the poo

So, I just plopped solids that peeled out easily into the toilet. Anything that wasn't easy to get out got tossed in the wash. I ran the diapers through a quick rinse and then toss any baby clothes that need washed and do a wash. It was lazy, but it was the only way CDing was going to work with us. I had very little issue with my front loader getting dirty. I just ran a load of whites or diapers with bleach when I wanted to clean it.

Re: Getting past the poo

I had a diaper sprayer with my first, but got rid of it after we moved. I just shake off what I can into the toilet and then dunk and swish. I put the diaper pail right next to the toilet before starting so that I can just lift the edge of the Pail over the toilet. Then there are no yucky drips. We have had a few gross diapers that took some extra swishing, but for the most part it has made less mess and been less trouble than a sprayer.
