Audio books and ebooks

I love to read and trying to get the children to enjoy it more.
Are there any good places to get audiobooks free?
I've got overdrive and connected to local library but there is always a hold on anything decent.
I enjoy most anything, mystery, fiction, romance, also looking for children's books. I did come across storynory. Going to see if they have an app for kindle fire. Would like to be downloadable.
I can't seem to find any decent free childrens (10&6 year old boys) ebooks.
We have kindle fires (1st generation, ipad 2, Old kindle ereader, an iPod touch. If that helps any?

Re: Audio books and ebooks

I've found some good read-alouds here and there on youtube. It's hard to wade through them though because sometimes people read too fast or I just don't like their style. Usually we just read out loud together (with my husband or I reading to our LO's or me reading a book of choice to everyone.)
