Yes, this is how mine was too. I had to ask them to look around and make sure there was just one, when lo and behold, there were more! Mine also looked like the pictures posted above. Originally they thought I had three, and said they were Tri / Tri.

Re: What did your early ultrasound look like?

These were taken at 8 1/2 weeks with identical twins, mono/di.

This photo is not like my u/s. I am getting convinced mine are identical. The two embryos (or white circles as I have called them) were sharing one space.

My u/s looked more like the u/s on this page.

Thanks so much for sharing your u/s.
My first us with my identical twins looked like the one you posted the link to here. We found a very thin membrane between them at around 13 weeks.

LOVING all these little baby pictures...twins are such a special experience...OP, congrats!

here is a pic of my first ultrasound w/ di/di twins at 6w1d...(also, cheli...on that blog, the last line says the tech did find a membrane so they aren't mono/mono)

We are surprised to be PG again so soon after the mc and then to find out we are PG with what looks like identical twins. It is beyond the craziest thing we could have come up with.
Either way, congrats!

Re: What did your early ultrasound look like?

This is what mine looked like around 8ish weeks. They look like they are mo-mo but they are mo-di. There was the slightest sighting of a membrane right before they stopped the ultrasound.

Womb placement doesn't necessarily mean they are frat unless they are boy/girl. It is possible to be di/di and be identical

Re: What did your early ultrasound look like?

Congratulations!

My first ultrasound at 13 weeks from the angle it looked like they were in one sac, and then the next one a couple weeks later had two. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I was told that even fraternal can be in one sac, but that they are more likely to be identical if in one sack, and that even identical twins could have two sacs. My doctor had said generally they didn't confirm identicals until DNA testing after birth.
