Yes, it did work very well for me. It was very easy to use. Every morning before I got out of bed I used it to take my temperature (orally). I started using it while I was still nursing my first baby so I wasn't ovulating yet. It told me that my first period was coming I think a week or so before it showed up. I was impressed with that. I did get pregnant while using it but it was one of those situations where we were thinking about having another baby soon and we got a little lazy . It's been about 5 years since I've used it because we decided to leave t up to God for several years, and now Hubby is getting a vasectomy so I don't need it anymore.
It comes with the thermometer part that I used. You can buy a replacement part on their website. Last time I plugged it in it was still going strong, but replacement batteries can be purchased on their site if needed.
