DH was throwing a shirt away...

and I said, "What's it made of? Can I have it?" Then I found two more he had thrown away ahead of this. So, I made DS a new diaper.

There was a red one too....

The color is off in this one because Little One was playing with the light.

And you can laugh at the fact that I sewed it wrong. The microfiber towel is supposed to be on the inside. That'll teach me to slow down.

The color is right in this one. It's kind of bulky because it's a naptime diaper.

That is so cool! Is there a tutorial for this? I don't have a serger... would I be able to do it on my sewing machine?

I didn't do any of it on a serger except that I had serged the bamboo fleece insert already and I just stitched red material to the top. But you could use a washcloth or microfiber towel and put the material on it.

I used the Rita Rump Pocket pattern. http://handmadebyrita.blogspot.com/2...t-pattern.html I don't top stitch the legs, just everything else. I also made this a fitted instead of a pocket. So there is no opening in the back like the pattern calls for. The microfiber towel was also supposed to be on the inside, but I was watching the little one, heating the oven for supper, and trying to hurry. (So stitch the inner absorbant stuff to the inner diaper layer and then sew right sides together, turn inside out, topstitch) Hope all that made sense.

I'll try and take a few more pictures when I make one from the green or yellow shirt and post them.
