The mesh feeders are cheaper than teething tablets. Teeth and boobs mix just fine mama.

We used cold washcloths, frozen fruits/veggies in the mesh feeder, Tylenol at bed time, Motrin at bed time after 6mths and occasionally teething tablets.

Re: onions + teething

I've never used onions for that purpose- never even considered it until I read this post. But we did go to the farmer's market a few months ago and Gavin chewed on the tops of the green onions I bought. He really seemed to like them. He was maybe 5 months old? I wouldn't let a 3 month old have them, but that's just me. I'd stick to a cold, wet washcloth. Good luck!

I might have to do some searching in my garage, but I have a new mesh feeder I would be willing to send you for free. I will PM you if I find it.

Re: onions + teething

In my personal opinion, 3 months is too young to do most teething remedies. I would maybe give a frozen wet washcloth for them to gum, if your baby has the coordination to do that yet.

We didnt have too much trouble w/ teething, but at night I used Hyland's Homeopathic teething tablets and they worked like a charm. You put a few in their mouth and they dissolve instantly. They are only like $5 for a bottle with 125. They also make a gel with the same homeopathic herbs in it for about the same price. I found mine at GNC. Good luck and hope things get better soon!!

My DS is a lot older and has done this inadvertently while I was gardening. He did enjoy the green onions. I would try cold cloths for now.

Re: onions + teething

boobs and teeth do mix They don't hurt. You don't even feel them. The sucking feels the same. Please don't think you'll need to stop nursing because babe gets teeth. My 3 year old nurses and I never feel teeth. Hylands teething tablets work great. Just remeber that you can't tough them. You must drop them in the cap from the bottle and them drop them in their mouth. Don't let them touch them or they won't work. A really good book on homeopathy and children is by Dana Ullman. It's called Homeopathic Medicine for Children and Infants. There are specific remedies for teething depending on your childs symptoms. I love homeopathy. Chamomilla tea is great too.

Bet you don't feel DH teeth, right
