Re: bc problems

Yeah, I came off of what I was on and have sworn off of birth control now. That stuff really messes with your body. I never realized just how much as I had never used birth control before. I managed 10 months and finally called it quits for good. I am 40. How many years can I have left anyway? Besides, I would be over the moon if we could have just one more baby.

Re: bc problems

I am happy with the four I have. I feel like since my oldest is 14 now that I am ready for just older kids. Plus with homeschooling a toddler is enough of a challenge I couldn't imagine it with a toddler and a baby. Dh said that he would take care of things since I said no more birth control for me. Now we will see if he does. Sometimes he just does things other times he drags his feet.

Re: bc problems

My husband was all set to 'get things taken care of'. It was me that didn't want anything permanent. I always wanted a large family. It is only infertility that put a stop to that. Which is why being on birth control and suffering the side effects was so frustrating to me. Not only do I not get pregnant easily I was not ready to stop having children to begin with.

Did the bc cause your infertility problems?

Nope. That was my first C-section. I developed excessive scar tissue. It has interfered with my ability to get pregnant. It actual has made pregnancy potentially life threatening when combined with a window pane uterus. All 3 of my children were C-section babies. The last one took an hour of careful cutting to get him out. The resident(doctor in training right?) told me I would die should I get pregnant again. My OBgyn said it wasn't quite that definite so I am ever hopeful. Aside from the fact that we will both be 40 this year it greatly contributed to my husband's desire to prevent a pregnancy. Hence the birth control despite a history of infertility. I am willing to risk it one more time. My husband? Not so willing.
