That is amazing Katie! I know what my house looked like when it was built because well, it hasn't been touched really since the early 1960's when it was built. We have done something here or there but it's bones are the same.

The SAHM thing, I am sorry some of you had your income cut in half with stopping working. I didn't really add much to the party when I stopped working. That is why I stopped in March 2005 (DS was born in Sept. 2008, triplets July 2006). DH makes far more then I could so that is why I stopped working. Yeah it would be nice to earn extra money here or there, but DH even has better earning potential there. One of his side projects pays $50 a hour. Yeah I can't compete with that, especially when you factor in day care and such. I was a live in nanny when I met DH. I worked for about 18 months after we got married as a live out nanny but my BEST job paid $16 per hour. And that job was NOT FUN!! Family was insane!!
