Re: Diono Radian RXT RF Seat Belt Install

I think people are a little overdramatic about installing Radians. I have never had an issue with ours in any of the vehicles I have installed it in. I have checked a few and never had any issues there either. I have had far more issues with Britax lockoffs than I have had with a Radian.

Are you locking the seat belt? If the seat belt is not locked then the seat will not stay tight. If you have a seat belt with a switchable retractor (most seat belts), pull it all the way out after installing the seat and then feed it back in to the retractor. Remove any additional slack and feed it back in to the retractor as well. It doesn't matter how tight you can get it, if you don't lock the seat belt, it's not going to stay tight.

It also helps to read through the manual a few times before attempting to install. Not all manuals are created equal but the one for the Radian isn't that bad. I have definitely seen worse.
