Breastfeeding in church??

Not saying she is wrong, just wanted other opinions......

Okay so our services are usually from 12:30-4:30 so I feed my baby about twice, I always go to the cry room & nurse her(we dont have a nursery just a small room) well we have a family in our church & she nurses her baby in church while service is going on....she sits near the back so it's not like she is the main attraction, but it's def obvious... How do u feel about nursing in church???

Do it ALL THE TIME! I'm not going to miss service just b/c baby needs to eat, unless she's fussy.

that's why God gave them to you. I don't think he would have a problem with it

That's a super long service. My dd would have nursed the whole time.

Re: Breastfeeding in church??

I have seen other women do it and I have done it myself. Usually I would make more commotion/draw attention by trying to get a hungry baby and gear to the cry room than I would if I just stayed in my seat and fed them.

Re: Breastfeeding in church??

I'm pretty sure "Jesus" was breastfed. Why on earth would it matter if it was church or not. This question is ridiculous to me.

If she is modest about it, go for it

Re: Breastfeeding in church??

I've done it/would do it again. I mean, I use a cover to be polite to others ( as I personally have very few modesty concerns these days. Thanks NICU babies.) but over all, it silences the child much sooner, and you don't miss service
