Six month old and biting

One of my six month olds just had a tooth pop in and she is now flatting out my nipple, pulling it and then biting it. Any suggestions please because I'm not preggo and they are already sore!

When my baby bit I took him/her off immediately and put him down to the side of me away from the breast and said "no biting". After a short while I would let them nurse again. But the immediate and fast removal seemed to work pretty quick for me for getting them to understand that biting is not allowed.

I don't miss that stage! Nothing really worked for my DS as he thought the reaction he got out of me was funny! Little stinker! Luckily it doesn't last long. For my DS it was about a week at a time.

I would do the same as PP, immediately take LO off, and FIRMLY say "No Biting." I would also take my index finger and pop their noses when I say "No Biting." It worked with all 3 children after a few days. With DS1, I would sometimes point my finger at him before latching and say "No Biting" (not overly firm, but sort of reminding him.)

Babies reactions: everytime they'd cry. I had hurt their feelings. But continue doing it everytime they bite. Leave them off for a second or two and latch again. Good luck! It hurts!
