so i started tracking my periods last month....

And since I dont know what a normal cycle is for me, i left it set to the standard length. According to that, I am 8 days late. I had some spotting today, assumed it was AF, but now it has stopped. Also, a week before my missed period, i had 2 days of cramp-like feelings on my left side only. I am still nursing, but had been having cycles pretty regularly, i have had 3 cycles since she was 6 months (10 months now) so...do i test? Wait another week?

To complicate matters, we are trying to avoid at the moment, hoping to get my.degree before #4 arrived. At the same time, I just want to go ahead and have #4 so I can accept my family as complete and DH can get snipped. DH wants no more than 4. So either way there is good, and I love babies, so I am good either way

Although those crampy feelings on your left side might have been ovulation. What day was that and were you DTD unprotected around that time? Good thing you started keeping up with it, after this you are probably going to want to track things even better!

I would guess the cramps were ovulation making you about 2 weeks past ovulation and expect AF any day now. Nursing can really throw things off though. I would get regular periods for a little bit and then miss one completely. I would definitely suggest temping if you want to take some of the question out of it.
