Umm...how did a whole load of dipes go crispy?

I just went to get a load of dipes out of the dryer and instantly noticed that they weren't as soft as usual. i touched like every diaper and sure enough, they all felt different to me. i was so pissed i left them in the dryer!

i did add one tablespoon of bleach to the load which i do very very occasionally, and then i rinsed several times after that. it's never even remotely caused a problem before

the load before the load of diapers did have clothes that i sprayed shout on, but surely that wouldn't have affected the dipes? especially after that many rinses. any ideas?

oh, and i told my husband that i if i couldn't get them soft again i was going to sell them off cheaply and get all new, and that it wasn't open to further discussion so if you're interested in cheap GADs, snap-ez, dream-eze, fuzzi bunz, etc....you may be in luck. maybe you could soften them up?

Re: Umm...how did a whole load of dipes go crispy?

ok, i seriously think i'm losing my mind. i set the dipes on a fluff cycle in the dryer, and when i came back, they didn't feel that bad. like i couldn't tell if they were any different from before? maybe my water logged hands from my shower just didn't agree with my dipes. ugggggghh, i think i need to sleep for like a hundred years or something!

and wouldn't you know it, now i want new dipes

I'd do anther hot wash, add some vinegar. Throw a tennis ball in with diapers when you dry them.

When my hands are *water logged* dipes feel rough to me too!! That is probably what happened.
