arizona outdoor play

We just moved from Alabama to the West Valley of Phoenix. We are debating between two houses. The houses themselves are equal in all regards except the community park/pool. The house my dh wants has a pool with strange hours - only 2 pm to 8 pm. And the park has no shade or swings. The other house has an amazing park with a sunshade. And the pool is open sun rise to sun set. Both pools close in October.

So in Alabama we were totally out door people. Am I crazy to think we will get use out of a park and pool? My dh doesn't think I will really take the kids swimming and to the park with the heat...

Mom to Joey (Feb 2010) and Nate (Mar 2013)

Re: arizona outdoor play

My opinion is the house is the main thing. I'm sure there are pools and parks everywhere you can drive/walk/etc to close by that suit your needs should you want to use them.

Other than that enjoy Arizona and welcome from another new resident!

In oct it starts cooling off in the evenings & mornings so you will definitely use the park for sure. If the hoses are pretty much the same I vote get the one w/ normal pool hrs and awesome park
We live in Chandler - suburb of Phoenix
Welcome to az!!
