Magic Loop not so magic for me

Anyone else not care much for magic loop? for longies at least?
I found that I can knit legs much faster when I'm doing them separately on shorter circs. It's nice to have them done at the same time but it was taking me forever to readjust the magic and whatnot.

At first I didn't really like it much either, but it grew on me. I do think you're right about it possibly being faster the other way though. I think it's just a personal preference kinda thing.

I love ML, but only one leg at a time. I feel like switching yarn puts a cramp in my style, but I am much more comfortable knitting with a long circ than w a 12 or 16" one.

I think I go a lot faster doing the legs separately on small circs. I do socks 2 at a time on Magic Loop (and have started doing mittens the same way too) but for longies I prefer to work the legs separately.

Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's so much for me to handle and was taking forever! I zipped right through that leg once I switched to a different, smaller, single circ.

I actually use dpn's for my legs as I haven't been able to get 12" circs but I don't like magic loop myself either. I have tried it and it just isn't for me. I am sure I will work on it more and maybe like it, I was like that with dpn's at first too and now I wiz on those.
