Fixing elastic when there's no casing??

I successfully replaced the elastic on a Fuzzi Bunz the other night and now I need to do a Bottombumpers. But it's completely different - the inserts snap in, so there's no way to turn the diaper inside out, and there is no elastic casing. I'm scared to death I'm going to ruin this thing if I just start going after it with a seam ripper. I can't seem to find a tutorial here or anywhere else on the web - can anyone help a mama out??

Get your seam ripper!

I've never opened up a Bottombumper, but I have a few of them in my stash so I'll tell you as much as I can to help.

You'll have to open up the front of the diaper with your seam ripper (carefully remove the topstitching, and then it will open) since that is where she turns her diapers: in the front.

From there, turn the diaper wrong side out and check out the elastic situation. It should be pretty easy since she doesn't topstitch her elastic.

Let us know how it goes! It's always interesting to open up a diaper...you never know what you might find!
