Re: Help me use Dr. Bronner's!
I love it for household cleaning too - I just squirt some around the sink/on the counter and then go at it with a dripping wet sponge. Smells great, cuts the grime.
@GEM cloth, thanks for the tip about the disinfecting - I didn't know that. |

I like to use it in the toilet. That way when the dogs drink out of the toilet it isn't toxic and they have minty breath lol.

Re: Help me use Dr. Bronner's!
I put 1/4 c into a spray bottle with 2 Tablespoons Borax, 1/4 vinigar and about 10 drops tea tree. Ad warm water to fill and GENTLY move back and forth to mix. This is a GREAT all purpose cleaner, I use it especially for tile grout!

Re: Help me use Dr. Bronner's!
I use the lavender liquid to clean everything in my house and I usually dilute it down so it lasts a long time too. Def dilute it if you're gonna use as hand soap its really drying. We use the bars for hands and body and the liquid for cleaning. Makes everything smell so clean! I wipe up spitups and it takes the icky smell away. Wipe my 2 yr old down after eating and it gets food smell off. I even add a couple little squirts to the wipes solution. LOVE IT!

Re: Help me use Dr. Bronner's!
I use the lavender for wipes solution, washing the baby, spot cleaning the couch... I've heard of people using the peppermint as a healthy alternative to toothpaste - totally want to try that myself!

Re: Help me use Dr. Bronner's!
We use it in foamers for hand soap and body wash, I also use it for cleaning.
Does anyone use it to wash dishes? I'm out of dish soap but I have tons of Dr. Bronners, the local organic store had a huge sale last year and I bought like 5 bottles - all different scents! I love the orange and the rose scent, I got unscented for the kids' bath time.

Re: Help me use Dr. Bronner's!
I use the lavender for my DD at bath time and also use it diluted with water as hand soap (although we're on a break from it right now because I got a great deal on a couple bottles of method hand soap, but once those are gone we're going right back). If you don't have a foaming pump, it's fine. I only have one and just use a regular pump in the other bathroom. It comes out watery but lathers up great. I have been stocked on California baby for my boys, but heard that it was reformulated with icky stuff when I went to order more so I ordered the unscented kind of dr. bronners for them. We'll see how that goes when it gets here. They both have eczema and they've been ok when I had to use the lavender in a pinch so I'm hoping the baby mild dr. bronners works well for them. I also used to use it to mop the floor with lavender oil and it worked great (I use a steam mop now).
