Re: getting rid of the pacifier?

My dds still have their at nap and night. They are pretty good at giving them up before they leave their room. They were sick last week and had it during the day some too but that is the only time. They are 21 months.

DS was around 18 months and he threw it on the grass when we were leaving the house. I told him to pick it up and he refused. I said that he'd have to wait until we got home then. While we were gone the lawncare people came and mowed our lawn and the paci. I kept the broken pieces to show him for a while but other than that he was done.

Re: getting rid of the pacifier?

Well, DS "gave them to Santa" last year! He didn't ask but a couple of times for one after that (he was almost 27 months old) and we just reminded him that he had given them to "santa".

He hasn't tried to take the baby's for himself *yet*
