Crazy Question

I love using gowns with my little one but what happens when they out grow them. They make changing him at night so much easier, and we have some time left with them but what happens when that is over?? They say 16 pds, which we are no where near but I think they will not fit before he hits 16pds.

He gets cold easy, and he gets pissed when he gets cold. He was wearing sleepers and stuff but I get aggravated with the snaps and stuff. Also, since I am on the road to cding I want it to work with them too.

Just wondering what your lo's slept in.

Re: Crazy Question

You can find sleep sacks that will fit babies over 16lbs. I have some hand-me-downs from my sister that go up to 12 months. I always found the gowns would creep up my DC during the night and end up around their waists. so I always put them in footie PJs that had just a few snaps at the legs. As they got older and it got hotter I just put a t-shirt on them or pull on PJ bottoms. Maybe you could try wool or fleece covers.

I use the sleep sacs for both of mine. Like pp said the gowns always crept up to the waist.

Re: Crazy Question

Sleep sacks or those pull on wool sleep sacks are pretty neat too. They have a drawstring at the top and bottom.

Re: Crazy Question

oh yeah! sleep sacks were the best!!! i only had 3 so if i ran out before i did laundry, which was hardly ever. it seemed like i was constantly doing it. then i would just use the snap footed sleepers or the ones with zippers. you could also just put him in a onsie and put baby legs and socks on him.
