Re: I want to give up!

Good for you for sticking with it! And trying all kinds of great things to help your LO nurse longer.
Two Things:
1. I had forceful letdown. You have some great advice about removing and placing on after letdown has occurred, but I also have been told to try to slow the flow physically from a LC. Nursing on your side in bed is best for strong letdown too. Basically just take your hand in a C and cup the inner half of your breast for 1-2 minutes when letdown starts very firmly. Then release so that half can flow. It helped with me when my LO was small.
2. I cannot stress how much a GOOD chiropractor will help reflux. I've heard so many stories and it's just amazing.
Good luck mama! You are doing great!

Good luck mama sounds like you are doing great! Nursing was a struggle for my LO but I stuck to it and was so happy. As for food it sucks but there are gluten free options for tons of stuff at health food stores. No wheat they make tons of stuff out of rice, pasta, crackers, breads. If you need some options or ideas for meals let me know I have tons!!
