which car seat for babysitter?

I am transitioning my son into convertible car seats. We have two Diono Radian RXT seats in my and DH's cars. Our babysitter watches our DS 2.5 days per week and we need to get her a seat. She sometimes has to take DS to drop off or pick up her children from school. Anyone have a recommendation for me? They have 3 kids, so I think something that is easily installed/uninstalled would be good. I would like to keep costs below $150. DS is 11.5 months old and 21 lbs (don't know his height off of the top of my head).

I think a lot of people would disagree with me, but for someone who is driving your baby 5 times a week ease of use is really important and I would pay what it takes for an easy to use seat. I go to school 20 hours a week and my MIL watches DD. I have a Britax Roundabout 50 in her car, which I got for $100 at Target. It was well worth the money to know that she will be able to use the seat correctly 100% of the time, since it is a very user friendly seat.

I know I am probably in the minority, but I have the same caliber of seats in every car my kiddos ride in.

In your budget, I would look for a good deal on a Roundabout 55. Albee has some on sale for $159 right now. They are the easiest to install correctly every time.

Will the seat be uninstalled and reinstalled frequently? I think it's something to definitely take into consideration.

Yes. I would like to get one that is easy to take in an out. I am flexible on the price point. My son will probably not travel more than 30 miles in the seat in the next year (so far the sitter has only taken him out in her car twice in the 8 months she has had him). That was my reason for the lower price tag. However, I do want him to be safe!
