36 weeks and not feeling prepared, anyone else?

Feeling exhausted and had to vent. I am 36 weeks tomorrow, I know a whole month away, but I have a strange feeling the baby is coming early. Our car is in the shop and we're borrowing MIL's very uncomfortable,no A.C., tiny pick up that won't even accommodate a carseat. I still haven't packed my to-go bag for the birth center. I need to go buy new pjs that 1.actually fit unlike what I've been wearing and 2.dont have a bunch of stains/holes and are not my husbands boxer shorts that I've been living in for the last month. AND, I have had a cold for the past 2 weeks, thank the Lord I am finally getting over it, but it has been so yucky having a cold while this pregnant. It's been literally over a year since I've had any type of cold/sickness, why now? Is it normal to feel so not ready and stressed for your first? We're taking a birthing class thru the birth center starting this Sunday, I hope that relaxes me a little. Having all these nesting instincts kicking in and being sick has been so hard to manage. I feel like this due date has been so far away for so dang long and now all of a sudden I feel like the baby is going to be here tomorrow and we don't even know how to latch in the dang carseat. And I feel like everyone around me is moving at a snails pace, saying don't worry about it, you've got a whole month..

OH.MY.GOSH.YES. Yes to almost everything, down to buying new pajamas. I am 37 weeks now, so it could be a week, could be 3. Mentally, I'm not ready. At all. This baby can wait a while yet. But I can't shake the feeling this one will be early. So we're using this weekend to nest, hopefully. I want to pack the bags, wash baby clothes and diapers, and set up car seats. DD2 needs to move to her bed upstairs and move her clothes in the dresser up there to make room for baby stuff. We also need to find diaper stuff, like the pad and such.

It's exhausting just to think of PREPARING for the baby to come... let alone the baby actually coming!

I found some comfy pjs on clearance at target, if you're still looking. I hope you got some things finished this weekend! I thought I'd like the nesting instincts, but they just make me feel kind of stir crazy. I vacuumed myself into some serious braxton hicks the other day and had to lay down the rest of the day. But I just felt like I HAD TO vacuum everything! hah! Going to our birthing classes helped me a lot. Also, positive birth affirmations on pinterest. I got mine and baby to go bags packed, which makes me feel more prepared. Best of luck newbiemama! Hoping for some stress free last weeks! Remember, one day, step and moment at a time. All you can do is your best.

I looked and looked at Target and didn't find anything I liked. I didn't want to buy shorts with PJs because it's October in Minnesota! Not shorts weather! I did finally get the bags packed... not just our hospital bag, but suitcases for all 3 kids for when they're away. We do need to get car seats organized still. When I was pregnant with #2 we had a beat up blazer with NO A/C (and it was summer), but we were at least able to fit the car seats in there! I hope you get everything done!!
