Re: EBF poo stains

I often bought stained diapers at a good price and got them looking new again. My regimen was hottest water, tiny bit of F&C liquid detergent, extra rinse (again hot) and put in direct sunlight, wet, when needed. Another key was to use softened water (before we had a water softener I bought softener for the washing machine or put vinegar in a Downy ball) but you only have to do that for hard water--which we have in south Texas--because hard water doesn't really rinse your clothes. I've never used stain removers out of concern they wouldn't rinse out all the way because they're pretty harsh. I found that whether dipes were really rinsing thoroughly was directly related to staining.

Re: EBF poo stains

Sunning is great. I will say that my 1st never got stains and my 2nd stained everything (he had colic-lactose issues, etc and seemed to have very tough poo). My 3rd is fine like my first. All I did was make sure to launder sooner-my easy guys could sit 3 days no prob but with my 2nd I washed 1-2 days or pretreated blowouts which helped. Changing detergents never seemed to work with him either for me.
