How long does dairy stay in your milk?

Just dropped Lulu off for a weekend at grandmas... can I gorge on ice cream and cheese and all things dairy, and have it out of my system by Tuesday (3 days)? I don't want her to get sick... but it's been 8 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: How long does dairy stay in your milk?

I heard it can take several weeks. It does depend on just how sensitive your little one is. I couldn't have any dairy at all because of my son's issues. Now at 22 months I can eat dairy but he cannot even though he is still nursing. His though isn't an allergy but rather not digesting dairy proteins.

I don't know about buildup over time vs one time eating, but when you initially cut dairy it takes 2-4 weeks to leave your system...

If you can, find yourself some tempt hemp ice cream. It seriously scratches the dairy itch (I wish the stores around here still carried it!)
