Pain in c-section scar tissue

I've been having pain where my c-section scar is. I think its only on the skin level but its so uncomfortable when I stretch or lean forward and stretch the skin. I just pressed on it and its pretty tender to the touch to. I'm kind of wondering if they botched my closure this last time. I never had this pain while PG with #2 and they were both c-sections. I'm hoping its just hormones but I am really suspecting it was a bad closure on the surgeon's part.
Its only about a 2" spot on the left. I'm kind of wondering if the tissue fused with some other tissue inside while it was healing.

Anyone else had this pain/discomfort?

I had a lot of scar pain while pregnant with DD2, to the point where I told the OB I was convinced it was going to bust open. He kind of chuckled and reassured me that it was normal. He did examine my scar though. I think you're probably fine but I always err on the side of caution and would have it checked anyway.

that has been my thought exactly. "Just give it a couple more months and you are going to pop right open!"
Of course that is completely ridiculous but I definitely will have the OB check it out
Its nice to hear yours was fine!

I know that scar tissue can form adhesions. This might be what your experiencing. I don't think it's anything the surgeon did.

I would talk to your doctor for sure. I know there are things you can do to help, I just don't know what they are.

I wouldn't be surprised if it "was" the surgeons fault. They were awful, but I do think you are right. I've got an appointment to talk about bloodwork on Thursday and a normal OB appointment on the 22nd so I'll probably wait till the normal one to ask.

Yep, normal from my experience. It feels like it's ripping open if I move too fast, cough, or some other random movement

My Mood:
I'm 5.5 weeks PP and still get that feeling sometimes.
I think I'm abnormal though because the sterile strips they put on after removing staples still haven't fallen off
I have my 6 week PP appt this Tuesday.

I'm 2 years PP with second c-section. You have to peel the strips off. They don't just fall off. Take a nice long shower. Wash the area with dial or whatever they said to use. Peel them off right before getting out. It's going to hurt because you waited so long. It will rip your hair out Don't be surprised if it takes off a top layer of skin and the scabs underneath. When I peeled mine off around 2 weeks pp they did that and it did hurt. Your dr will probably ask you why you haven't taken them off yet

ETA: I had pain with both till about 9m PP.
Just so ya know. The pain doesn't go away at some magic date unfortunately. It's still numb/sensitive to this day. I can scratch about 6 inches above my scar and feel it on my scar. It's really weird.

Uh duh
I really thought they told me they'd fall off! A couple did after a few days so I've been waiting and waiting lol

Granted when they took staples out and put on strips I was half asleep and obviously heard wring
I'll take a shower tonight and get them off.
