Does anyone pay to get their elastics replaced?

I bought some used Bumgenius aios that could use new elastic. Is paying someone to replace it even a thing that people do? Does it make sense financially or is it better to just sell them to someone unlike me who can sew?

Yes it's a thing that people do. I don't know how expensive it is.

I can sew but I find that to be a pain in the rear. Usually if the elastics are shot I just ffs them.

I don't think it's very expensive. I would look into it. The refresher kits from Cotton Babies are only $1 each.

I've also heard of lots of people that don't sew being able to replace their own elastics. It's supposed to be pretty easy to do. I haven't done it myself, however.

I would at least check it out.

I've been CDing since 2009 and have never replaced any elastic. It's a personal choice...what kind of investment you have in the diapers and what kind of investment of either time or money you feel is worth it.

IF you can find someone local it could be worth it. To ship heavy AIOs to someone and pay for return shipping, even if the actual replacing isn't too much, seems like it could get pricey.

Here's a great youtube video on replacing BG pocket elastic. I am a novice sewer and I was able to do it, but it wasn't easy for me. This video is a great help but you'd need to understand a sewing machine first at least.

Thanks. Shipping is a good point. I might try to get my mom to do it for me, haha.
