Diaper bag recommendations, questions, reviews

I didn't want to keep redirecting the weekly chat thread back to bags so I thought I'd make a separate thread.

I have been using a 31 zip top organizing tote for a diaper bag for the last several months. I only (lol) have 2 in diapers right now, and summer spare clothes take up less room and it just seems like it has been bigger than what I want lately. Plus I get bored and like to switch out the bag, much to the dismay of DH. So I'm looking for something new.

Anyone ever tried a foogo diaper bag? I know foogo is usually quality stuff and the few reviews I have found are good, but they seem to be discontinuing all the diaper bags. Some of them are super cheap, and there are some cute ones. I'm very tempted but I've never known anyone that had one or seen one IRL. This one is only $8!! https://www.hollar.com/products/ther...VcAaAsGE8P8HAQ There are a few different foogo ones I am looking at, and I probably won't get this one even though it's dirt cheap because I really like outside pockets.

Other diaper bags (besides foogo) I'm thinking about

LOL. I have the first one you linked... I thought it was a cooler bag! I bought it from Target ages ago... Like maybe 6 yrs ago? And we use it for all of our day trips and car trips, for lunch and snacks. It still looks brand new and I occasionally run it through the washing machine.

I bought this one last week...
Gray Arrows Weekender Tote Bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015257Z5U..._SuLgzbJHP4YB9
After I saw someone recommend it here, and then I saw another mama at church with it. It IS pretty, but I decided it's too big for a day bag and I think the white would get dirty fast.

The llbean stowaway day pack is my favorite back pack diaper bag. (I have the purple.) It's not huge, but it easily holds all the essentials. And it's super comfortable.

I don't have anything to say about those, but I just saw this deal and I'm think I'm going to get the single strap one. I'm ready to have a more practical diaper bag.

It's interesting that you both linked day packs because that's what I've been looking at!

I love the blue in the llbean one.

I had pretty much decided to get this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...ART_title_link but haven't been able to pull the trigger. Although now I may need to look at that last one linked because it's about half the price of the one I chose.

I tend to not love traditional diaper bags because I like them a bit wider. I love outside pockets. The last few days I have been packing and unpacking all my bags. I don't have very many and I don't think I like any of them except the 31 tote I have been using and I'm sick of it. I should probably make one so it would be perfect for me but bags always seem tedious unless it's like a quick tote.

Ok, I bought this one http://www.eddiebauer.com/product/st...ate.cj.4485850 and this one http://www.eddiebauer.com/product/st...ate.cj.4485850 Grand total of $32. I hope I love at least one of them for a diaper bag but if I don't we need more back packs anyway (for camping and such), so I figure it's a win either way.

The Arrow Weekender bag is the one I had my eye on! It's on my Amazon registry right now. I liked it because it is big enough for 2 in diapers. Or at least I think it would be. I've never actually seen one in person. I just recently got the Skip Hop Double Duo which I thought was HUGE when it arrived but its actually growing on me.

Re: Diaper bag recommendations, questions, reviews

I got the same 20L Eddie Bauer one and this one in pink: http://www.eddiebauer.com/product/st...lor=045&cm_mmc
At first I didn't realize I needed $25 for the free shoprunner shipping. I figure the one I don't like will be used to hold a 72 kit.

I feel a little silly as I already have 2 diaper bags - a skip hop duo (in the ubiquitous french stripe) and a petunia pickle bottom (this one) which I got for free from a friend. I prefer to use the ppb one as a backpack mostly, though, and it's super awkward for a backpack. It hangs away from my body so I'm always running into people. Plus the straps are a little uncomfortable. So hopefully something that's meant to be a backpack will be a little better.

Re: Diaper bag recommendations, questions, reviews

I almost got that one too! Then decided that with its size it would probably be a long time before I would use it as a diaper bag. We have 2 in diapers and will probably add another when the bonus boy's sibling is born this summer.

I don't have any 'nice' (name brand) diaper bags. I have an Amazon cheapie and a yard sale one and I'm fixing to get rid of both of them so I don't feel bad about the new ones at all.
