Re: Does the numbness ever go away ?

I had an emergency c-section two years ago. It was pretty numb around the scar and below but not all the way to the vagina. I think you really need to get that checked out. But as some encouragement my nerves have healed and only the immediate scar is numb. All other feeling is back.

Re: Does the numbness ever go away ?

My csection was 7 years ago. I was fortunate to have a vbac last summer with #2. The numbness took a very long time to go away and I still have a two inch area of scar tissue that can be on/off sensitive. I remember the area being very sensitive to touch for a while after also. Csections are no fun!

Re: Does the numbness ever go away ?

It's been two years for me, and the numbness has gone away. I'm not quite sure when it did, cuz I definitely remember having it after a year and rubbing oil on it like my doctor told me to. It occasionally was painful but I don't think I ever developed adhesions, my mother said they are extremely painful.
