Re: The Big Mamas August Thread

Hey ladies!!! I have been super busy with my kids starting back to school and lots of doctors appointments for me. I am getting my thyroid and digestive issues under control.

I am down to 220lbs! Pretty shocking as I never thought I'd get here. I don't really track on MFP anymore but I know what to eat and what not to eat and also what portion sizes are appropriate now.

Slimy, I must've missed that you are expecting. I'm sending major sticky dust your way!!!

I have hypothyroid and it makes losing weight so hard for mr. So glad to hear you are down to 220, great job!!! Having kids and doc appointments 24 hours per day makes it hard too - I know for sure. I have more doctors than most elderly people...LOL!

My counselors are trying to sabatoge me. They put cinnamon rolls in the faculty room and our lunch ladies make the BEST cinnamon rolls EVER. Really, better than any bakery I've ever eaten. I cannot turn one of those things down. Oh, well, the rest of my day will be healthy and nutrient filled.

Remind me to never do that again! I'm so sick now. Lightheaded, dizzy, oh boy this much sugar is not good for me.

Ugh - I hate that. Hope you feel better. My PCOS and metformin are the biggest reasons I do not eat sweets often, as I end up like that.

AF came today and my two year old broke the scale by taking it in the bath with him.

Resting today, hoping to keep all eating in check and work out hard tomorrow.

On the topic of weighing in, I do weigh in daily for my own motivation. Seeing it raised doesn't stress me out, it makes me try harder and pay more attention. That being said, I never weigh in more than first thing in the morning and never think of the scale throughout the day either

I carried my 35lb toddler around in the ergo for about an hour and a half today. Exercise is done. LOL

AF here too, but aside from an extra cup of coffee today, I have had really good self control.

I got my new walking shoes yesterday and I am totally thrilled. I am trying to talk myself out of a second pair-- they are almost 1/2 price and have slightly thicker soles for more rugged ground.
