cooking pork ribs...what your best recipe

A friend gave us pork ribs and I've never made them before so what's your best recipe? Oh, and husband doesn't like barbecue so that's catch otherwise it be easy to find a recipe.

I've done them in the crockpot before, but I can't find the recipe. They were good, but my bbq is better. You can google country ribs crock pot and find some good stuff.

I do mine in the crockpot all the time...

The recipe as I remember it is:

rub: paprika, thyme, salt and pepper, rub on meaty side of ribs

Cook in slow cooker on low (usually I am at work, so it is in there for upwards of 8-9 hours)

1/2 hour before supper, pull the ribs out and baste in sauce

sauce: ketchup, brown sugar, soya sauce (enough of each that the consistency is like the ketchup at the end if that makes sense, I never follow recipes after the first time). I have used bbq sauce instead too.

Cook on high in the crock pot for 1/2 hour.

make a rub I usually like something like garlic salt, pepper maybe some cajun, wrap tightly in foil and bake on 300 for 2-3 hours. I'll usually open the foil and crisp them up under the broiler for a minute at the end.
