What's inside your prefold???

So I have been using prefolds for the last week or so. I lay in a fleece liner to keep him dry. It just seems like they get really wet really quick. What can I put inside to up the absorbancy a bit? Has anyone tried sewing anything into their pf's? Any help would be great. :0)

I don't put anything in them unless we are using them for an overnight...then I will put an insert in there. Prefolds just get wet faster..good for potty training later on though.

I trimmed my premiums, so I use the trimmed off part as a doubler, and then top it w/ fleece. That way, it's not sopping wet in an hour...

I bikini twist premiums on my 18mo old guy so we get a bit of extra umph where we need it. I still end up changing every two hours at least. If I want to go longer I add a folded flat, but that makes it much bulkier...

I put my son in them. Sorry, I'm being a little smart mouthed today. I like to just put DS in them because then he gets changed more often & he recognizes the sensation of being wet which has really helped with PLing.

At night I put an extra premium PF in the first (I have to post a pic of DS's fluffy bum!!) & he's good to go.

We don't put anything in there. We change fairly often and EC part time so she keeps an awareness about her soiled diaper, and she doesn't like it even at 4 months old.

Re: What's inside your prefold???

For daytime use, I don't add anything. For naps, I will add a doubler for my toddler since he usually sleeps 3 hours.

But even for my super soaker 5 month old, I can leave him for 2 hours (not on purpose, he falls asleep nursing a lot) and no leaks even though the PF is pretty wet. The wetness doesn't seem to bother him...

If I know I can't change for a while, like a car ride or something I use a preemie prefold as a doubler.

Otherwise I just the prefold alone and change it as soon as it is wet.
