Why don't coveralls have front waist elastic?

I know, sort of a silly question. But how do you get the blueberry coveralls to lay flat against baby's belly without elastic in front? I always have a little gap in front... I could peer right in and see the prefold/ insert. What to do?

Theoretically, you could adjust the top row of snaps tighter at the waist, but it doesn't work well. The top row and bottom row are really close together - they pretty much need to be on the same setting.

Oh, this is for the MINI coverall. Maybe its better on the bigger coverall?

I like how thirsties and best bottoms have just a tad of elastic to close "the gap." Am I alone on this?

Was thinking the same thing. I got coveralls to fit over my ugly nighttime fitted diapers. They work great as far as coverage around the legs and butt, however the fitted under sometimes wiggles up the front. Front elastic would solve this issue.

Glad I'm not alone =) Anyone else like/ dislike the lack of elastic? Maybe I'll bug the company to make a change... unless that would annoy a host of long-time fans?

I like that they don't have elastic, but my DS has reflux and so we can't do anything tight at his tummy. The elastic on the Duos also left an irritated spot after he started moving around more. It was one of the reasons the Duos were my least favorite cover I just make sure the rise is well above the diaper and I haven't had any issues. They do gape a bit still over bigger diapers, but I haven't had any wicking.

That is actaully why I like blueberry covers. I hate front elastic--like RAR.

Re: Why don't coveralls have front waist elastic?

This is why I prefer side snapping or pull on covers with elastic across the front. My kids' pants always rolled down into the front of front fastening dipes/covers. As for the PP with the kiddo with reflux, my reflux baby did better with side snapping with elastic because the elastic would rise under their belly and provided some stretch. Front fastening dipes had no give at his belly and pressed in, causing him to reflux more.

I didn't think of that... I don't have any side-snapping diapers yet. I'll have to try one!
