Quinoa- where to buy? tried recipes

Hi mamas!
I am looking to incorporate quinoa in our meals( we've only heard/ read about quinoa, never tried it ). Pls share your recipes or tips to cook it in a way that everyone eats it.DH is diabetic and I am trying to reduce our carbohydrate intake. Also, where do you buy it?
Any input/help in this matter is highly appreciated.
Thanks

We love quinoa. I buy it in bulk from Whole Paycheck aka Whole Foods but pretty sure I've seen it in the Frontier catalog.
Use in place of rice in stirfry
Add grape tomatoes, cucumber, olives, feta, greek dressing. I like to add some chickpeas too
Mac and cheese! Cook the quinoa, and at the end add butter, milk, shredded cheese. You can add broccoli too, I just cut it small and throw it in the pot on top of the quinoa when it has a couple mins of cooking left. Basically make it however you make mac and cheese. My DH will go back for seconds

Aldis, Walmart, Krogers, and likely most chain stores carry it. Some near the rice. Some in the health food section, some in both so compare prices. Those in the health food section tend to cost more. You can also order on Amazon.

I like to cook a 50/50 mix of white and red quinoa in chicken broth and a veggie. Then I add shredded or diced chicken. I season with garlic powder and salt. Adding seasoning at beginning of cook time.

Thank-you ladies, shall probably buy from Amazon.Like the idea of Greek salad. We eat a lot of rice presently.I think I shall begin with cooking a 70/30 mix of rice and quinoa and then gradually replace the rice. Thanks again!

I've seen it in most large supermarkets now. Added per pp, as in any rice, noodles, soups, cereals, etc. to your favorite recipes. High in iron.

My kids are not very keen on trying it too, but I am going to try some tasty ways of incorporating quinoa gradually in our diet.

Re: Quinoa- where to buy? tried recipes

I have bought it from amazon, specifically this particular product. Liked the quality.

1) True Elements Quinoa 500gm

2) By Nature - Quinoa 500 gms

Both the products were good. Would deliver in couple of days.

If you want something cheaper and homegrown then try this:

1) Naturally Yours Amaranth Flour 500g

Сant add the links so you can find all that staff on amazon.
