Go DH! He got the diapers really clean but....

DH did the diaper laundry this weekend (actually, he usually does the diaper laundry, so I'm counting myself lucky) and he decided to add a little more baking soda to the wash. Amazingly, despite there being 3 days of diapers in the wash, including totally unrinsed night diapers, plus the hot weather we've had, the diapers smelled clean! Admittedly, they needed a full hot/cold cycle to rinse out all the stuff, but they certainly smelled and felt cleaner than they've ever been for a long long time.

Of course, he refuses to tell me how much he put in, so I'm left here wondering. Guess he'll have to continue doing the diaper laundry.

I've started dumping baking soda in the wetbag w/the dirty diapers to help w/the odor...in fact I was going to post a silly rave for Costco baking soda w/photos and everything but I didn't get around to it.

Yes baking soda rocks!!!

I agree with the many PPs! He will wear clothes that don't fit right instead of looking and seeing there are clean clothes in the dryer waiting to be folded that he can get out and put on. He also asked me if you just pour a bunch of soap in there or what. We have a front loader that he picked out without me, it was obviously just the first one he saw and it was his favorite color (red). And he would NEVER touch diaper laundry. You are one lucky mama!
