pls. help me thru this

girls i got myself in a situation i can't handle anymore. heres what happened...
my dd had a sleep over on saturday night. my daughter is 8 years old and so were the friends. and i overhear my dd asking her friend did you ever tell your mom what he did? she says no pls....shhhh but i left him anyway. i knew then..not good apparently this happened in the summer. she told my dd her moms boyfriend put her the closet and put his thing in her behind. and told her you let me do this or i'm not buying you a slurpie. yes girls for a $1 slurpie. that sucks!
i pulled this friend aside and went tru the whole hugging talking rundown he was bad, not you.........she was just in total fits. so i had no choice but to go to the police and file a report. i told them i want to remain anonymous.
well so much for that.
i end up getting a disturbing phone call that they wish i would have handled things in a different manner. they said the children were removed from the home. i ruined their christmas...
girls i don't know anymore. i just can't stop crying... i feel right but it hurts sooo much. pls... reassure me. i really need it.
these people seem a lil shady. i'm not sure if i should be scared...

OMG You totally did the right thing! Do Not feel down about your decision! I see no other way to handle the situation other than going to the police!

Please do not second guess yourself - you absolutely did the right thing. No doubt about it. Hold your head up high, and know that you possibly just saved this poor girl from more abuse. Good job, Mama.

Way to go mama! You did exactly what needed to be done. There's no easy ending for a situation like that, but you should be very proud of yourself for taking action like you did. So often situations like that go WAY too long before someone speaks up. She's a lucky girl to have had you to confide in.
