Re: New Diaper called Elemental Joy by Cotton Babies

We did something kind of like that. My boys were 9 lbs 3 oz and 9 lbs. We never really needed newborn diapers. Maybe for a week until the umblical stump fell off. One was 2 weeks late, the other 3 days late. I expected my DD to be that same so I only had one package of NB disposables on hand and a bunch of OS pockets. However, she was 4 weeks early, born 6 lbs 2 oz and came home 5 lbs 10 oz. I think we used NB size for 6 weeks.

I had 4 newborn fitteds someone had given me when I had DS#2. Each day I would sew another diaper or two. So I'd use the cloth I had, then switch to disposables. Wash and repeat. After 2 weeks I had 15 newborn cloth diapers. Saved us a bunch on disposables.

In 2 months you'd have enough to basically full time cloth if you were able to keep up with the wash, or comfortably half-time cloth.
Makes since but their product page is lacking. They should be talking this idea up. They should have more pictures of their diapers. etc

This makes it seem like you have to buy cloth diapers every month. It should talk about making the switch.

The other thread that was posted talked about the shipping being $10 which almost makes they the price of the 4.0 but cotton inserts are a bonus.

Yeah, I agree. They should put on numbers and stats on how to convert and why the subscription is a good idea. Makes sense to people who already know about cloth, but probably makes cloth look bad to newbies.

I agree, they need to do better marketing.
