Maybe that's just my thought process!
No, I see what you mean, I can see that being a thought process too. I was thinking more along the lines of "why doesn't this fit, what am I doing wrong, is there something about this diaper I'm not appreciating, etc"

I'm kind of that way with Elbees. They look nice and everyone raves about how they are like "baby underwear". But I don't like the thought of baby underwear (I'm imagining squished up poop because they are so formfitting, lol) and that's why I don't look for them. (and yes, I've read the threads why people like them).

Oh, got it!

I was kind of that way with a BBH (not really a hot diaper, but one that usually comes highly recommended and people seem to like). It just did NOT fit my DD at all and I wanted to love it soooo bad. I did give it a couple of tries to get it to work because so many other people seemed to like them but ultimately I sold it because it just wasn't happening for us.

I think I kept trying to get the right fit with it because I thought it was a beautiful diaper. But yeah, if it doesn't fit AND I don't think it's particularly cute, I would be selling it ASAP.

I still hate that I had to sell that diaper, the rainbow serging was GORGEOUS!

I've always stalked in hopes it would work for us not because it's popular. But if it doesn't FSOT it goes

I would, and do, sell--but I often feel really guilty about selling my hyena dipes w/o using them, especially if they were customs. I guess just knowing that someone worked hard to make something at my request makes it harder to sell, even though I know most WAHM's wouldn't take it personally. It's not like you can try them on, though! Maybe if you're lucky enough to get one FSOT first to try, but otherwise the only way to try is to buy.

Nope I'd sell that sucker and go get something I like that works. Who cares if its hyena let someone else enjoy it.

No way... I've sold/traded several popular items that we just weren't reaching for... goodmamas, pbpd, preston's pants, etc. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to trade my pop flowers GM for a xs Luxe (no pms please, unless of course you have a xs luxe )

Nope - I'd sell. I don't like have a sentimental attachment to a poop catcher. Ha!

Sometimes I'm glad I did! I had to try 3sr's 3 times before I figured out exactly how to adjust them for us and make them work. I kept trying to fold down that rise when I shouldn't have -- and now they're a wonderful fit. My stubbornness paid off.
