lazy latch?

Okay my left side hurts when DS is nursing. He is 7 months old and has 5 teeth, he had horrible latch issues when we began. I now think his latch on this side has started causing pain, how do I fix an older Bfing babies latch? Oh, he has super suction so it makes it really hard!

Re: lazy latch?

nak too so forgive me.

lazy latch starts when babys mouth starts getting bigger, but he isnt drawing any more breast into his mouth. so to correct this, he needs to be getting more breast when latching on. if he isnt taking enough when he first latches, take him off right away and have him try again
