I had some fruit for breakfast. We are thinking fish for dinner tonight. I have to go shopping though. Fun, fun. I bought a huge tray of raw veggies last night for lunch. I need to get some more protein, but not sure what. I had a boiled egg for lunch yesterday and that was nice.

boiled eggs brilliant idea! I will go make a pan of those this morning. I used to always keep them around but kind of forgot about them.

I lost a ton of weight eating 2 eggs for breakfast and 2 for lunch many years back. I keep boiled eggs around for a quick and low cal source of protein.

I ended up eating a half a cup of cottage cheese with some pineapple on it. But I"m still going to boil up a pan of eggs today. I have a hard time getting as much protein as I need. And if I eat carb without protein I spike my sugar and get not feeling well so I have to do better at that.

Cottage cheese with pineapple is one of my favorites! Too yummy. I too have to do protein with carbs or I get dizzy and stuff. I can do fruit alone, but that is it. All others I have to eat something with it. Especially with my metformin. It will make my GI track feel yucky for sure.

It's interesting to me that they use metformin to treat pcos because it's what my dad uses for diabetes. It's always seemed odd to me that no one has ever suggested that I have pcos though I have obvious blood sugar issues.

PCOS is also insulin resistance and pre-diabetes 2. The Metformin really fixes the issue for me. I cannot even consider losing weight without my metformin. Between that and my hypothyroid, my doc was amazed I could lose weight at all when I was not being treated. I felt as though I was climbing a mountain for a one pound loss.

It is easy to get tested for PCOS. Symptoms, blood work, and/or ultrasound can do it. Mine was through my blood work. My LH, FSH, and testosterone were not right.
