How much to charge for hemming?

So I've suddenly started getting sewing work. I have no idea what to charge for some things.

How much would you charge per panel for hemming curtains?
Online I see $12 per panel.

One person I charged $10 for one panel, but another lady just asked me to hem 4 panels. I'm not sure what would be a fair price. Still $10? Or discounted for multiple? It's less set up time if they're all the same size and color.

Re: How much to charge for hemming?

I pretty much have no idea, I don't sew and I've never been charged for someone to sew for me. But I would say lower the price a little for the multiple panels if they're the same color, maybe $30-$35.

That seems about right. I would slightly discount too.

I would think it would make since to select an avg **hourly rate for yourself, then try to figure out how long it will take. Keep track of how long activities end up taking to help yourself with numbers later.

**Or half hour, or 10m, or 1m --- I have not idea how long it takes to setup and hem a panel.
