Today is our 1st Day!!!!!!!

Well today is our first official day potty training my daughter. I went yesterday and bought her big girl undies, we bought her a pink potty about 6 months ago so she is use to having it in the bathroom now. She tells us when she is wet and dirty and knows what the potty is for but we just haven't tried to officially start pottying yet. But anyway she just turned 2 last week so I think it is time. I have 2 older boys whom we have gone through the whole potty training process with but of course a girl is different. LOL So, any advice or tips? Thanks! And wish us luck!

I agree that each child has a unique potty training style. My Daughter was actually easier than my sons. But that may have been more of a personality thing than boy/girl. I don't know.

Happy Potty Training!

I think girls are easier than boys but good luck mama! Normally younger siblings are easier too because they see the big kids using the potty and its not quite so scary or unfamiliar.

Good luck! You can do it! My advice is simply patience, patience, patience. It can be hard, but the challenge is usually short-lived and VERY worth it!

Re: Today is our 1st Day!!!!!!!

when they are ready it is a breeze!
we bought our potty with the 1st one and put it in the bathroom when she was 18 months. she was super intered for about 3 days then abandoned ship. when she was ready( about 4 months later) she started going on it. don't get too frustrated. i love pull ups!
now the 20 month old sits on it every night before bath and if i am going potty, but with her diaper on. she is not ready yet, but getting use to it
