Can we talk baby essentials?

So this little one is due in six weeks!! (How can that be??)

And I need a dose I of minimalism reality check. What are your essentials? I thought I didn't need anything... and now my list is growing. This is likely our last baby, so I really don't went to go overboard.

What's your list, can we suggest trim points rather than potentially give you more things to worry that you need?

Yes, it would probably be more helpful going off of your list.

My list is cloth diapers/wipes, receiving blankets, clothes, baby carrier, car seat.

Re: Can we talk baby essentials?

Ok... this is the list.

Prefolds, covers, wool soaker, wipes, snappie
Sleepers and onsies
Swaddle blankets, wash clothes
Hats, socks
Car seat
Stroller (with a bassinet)
Swing
Bouncy seat
Wrap carrier
Soap, lanolin, nail clippers

For later on:
OS pockets
Pump, bottles
Gates x2
Jogging and umbrella strollers
Baby monitor/white noise machine (it's actually my old cell phone)
High chair
Bibs
Ergo

I still need new pump parts, pacies, and I'm thinking a sheep skin blanket/rug from GMD. I had one with my second son and loved it. Also debating on a car seat for our second car. I would love a few new swaddle blankets, but I think I have four already. I may get one of the thicker muslin blankets or the wool blanket from GMD. My mil is knitting a cotton blanket.

We co-leep, so no baby room or furniture. He will use two of my dresser drawers, a diaper basket on the main level and the stroller bassinet to sleep in for naps at first.

I will need the pump for when I go back to work.

Dd1 is making him a mobile to hang from my fan, right over the middle of my bed.

Re: Can we talk baby essentials?

This is my list:

Onesies
Gowns
Sleepers
Socks
Hats
Diapers
Wipes
Swaddle blankets
Flannel blankets
Thicker blankets for really cold weather
Sheets
Burp cloths
Bottles, just in case
Pump
Car seat
Crib
Playpen
Fisher-Price Rock 'N Play Sleeper (lifesaver for me!)
Swing (I've had several very fussy babies and a swing works wonders for us)

I think that's all...
