what is going on?

ok I weaned ds a few weeks ago, he just turned a year old...I didn't want to wean him but nursing was becoming such a fight for him and I both and my supply couldn't keep up. Anway so we decided to wean earlier than planned.

however, it has been a month or so and now my right side keeps leaking and my nip is hard all the time. the left not so much, but if I touch the right side milk comes right out.

is this normal after weaning....could I be pregnant? Not that pg is out of the question we are talking about ttc and we haven't tried NOT to get pg if you kwim LOL. So is this a pregnancy thing or what?

ANY IDEAS???

Do you have a blocked duct? That is what it sounds like. Have you tried manually expressing a little in the shower to see if that helps? Pregnant, I don't know, but I do know at certain times of the month when hormones surge, etc., there are differences.

hmmm I dunno...i mean milk comes right out..I guess I should pump and see if that helps, or maybe I could let ds nurse ...I just worried that my milk would start producing again but I guess it already is doing SOMETHING so what harm could there be.

I would massage, express enough to get it moving, but not heaps to increase your milk supply. That sounds like something that could lead to mastitas if you aren't careful.
