Another Triumph & a Question

Hi Mamas!!

First, I want to share my triumph!

Luke is 8 weeks old & we successfully nursed in a WRAP (homemade) today & at church. We faced opposition from one family & I did stop attempting to feed him until they left but then I resumed feeding him a bit later. We were playing the holy family in a living/interactive nativity.

And secondly, my question has to do w/ my milk. It was yellowish at first (first few days after colostrum) and then it was WHITE and now it's REALLY yellow.

Why does it change color?

Re: Another Triumph & a Question

Your milk changes the whole time you bf. It is amazing how it changes to meet the nutritional needs of your LO. I have often wondered if drinking too little water may cause darker milk but have not heard anything about this. I have read that eating certain foods will change milk color, but have never experienced this personally.
