Does anyone use ABCmouse.com as a complete Kinder curriculum?
I just learned about ABCmouse.com and it looks like something my son will enjoy alot. Does anyone know if it can be used as a complete Kindergarten curriculum?
The other one I'm considering is Time4Learning but ABCmouse looks a little better. I'd love to know your opinions on it. http://www.abcmouse.com/ Thanks.

I'm curious about this too. I wonder how it compares to Starfall?

I have no experience with ABC Mouse but have used Time4Learning for Kindy during a health crisis. It would not be my 1st choice for school especially for a younger child because there is no hands on but it certainly suited our purpose. You will still need Art, Music, PE, and handwriting and I would work more on site words too.

My sister just started her yds on Abc mouse. He "failed" k in ps. She is refusing to hold him back so he is doing ABCmouse this summer. He gets a lot of the content and its very engaging for him. We she started looking for something for him i had her check out starfall and she thought it wasn't as complete(?) Of a review. She is not a hs'er so... keep in mind her son was already reading when he started the K program on there.

My son is not kinder age but he needs something that he can do when I'm not available to guide him through a hands on activity. He loves startfall but when I looked into the accompanying materials it looked pricey. I wanted something organized and I like that it does move them along in steps.
I signed on to do the trial and it says it has a 30 day money back guarantee. He's on right now. I'm also wondering if you could this program on a tablet. We can do most but not all startfall activities on the tablet. I'd like to hear other feedback in case anyone else decides to try it.

Re: Does anyone use ABCmouse.com as a complete Kinder curriculum?
I wouldn't use it as a complete curriculum. My 5 year old hasn't even started Kindergarten yet, but she already knows most of the ABC Mouse Kindergarten. She says it is boring. Time4Learning kept her attention better, and we will probably switch back to that, but not as a complete curriculum. She will be doing MFW Kindergarten too.

I keep reading so much love for My Father's World Kinder curriculum. It's another one I'm tempted by. I just really like the interactive computer aspect because I know that's what will engage my son better. I'm so torn right now as to what to choose. So many options out there.

My son is 2.5 but has very good letter recognition etc. Like I mentioned I needed something extra for him to do. When we go to starfall he basically figured out on his own. He'll go over the sight and find things to do. This is in the free version. In the ABC mouse he keeps getting stuck in the same activities. I put him in the preschool level which is right but the activities are not engaging him as much as starfall does. He is completely distracted by the prizes and tickets he earns. So he does an activity for a minute and then he spends ten minutes trying to spend his tickets on a prize. I do like that there is that path with several types of activities (I guess trying to engage the different learning styles) to complete that can get him to move ahead but there is so much else to distract him that although he is making progress it doesn't seem cohesive. Idk my kid is young so that is probably the main issue but I think I'll be going back to starfall unless something changes. Forgot to add that it does not look like a complete curriculum for preschool or if it is even I have a hard time finding it.

Re: Does anyone use ABCmouse.com as a complete Kinder curriculum?
I would not use it as a complete curriculum. I did a trial of it. It is ok but not a complete curriculum. Starfall has a kindergarten curriculum but I looked it over and I am not crazy about it but it has some good ideas. I like reading bear for reading and that is free. I like the brain pop videos. They have some free ones and sometimes have deals for the videos. If you have a tablet there are a lot of cool education apps out there.
